Ufloria — Privacy Policy

Effective June 2026 · Ufloria LLC (Michigan, USA) · support@ufloria.app

Ufloria helps you map the sun and shade across your yard and choose plants that fit. We built it local-first and ad-free, and we keep the data we touch to a minimum. This policy explains what that means.

The short version

What we collect and why

Location (with your permission). When you use "Use my location" or enter an address, your device's coordinates (or that address) are used to center your yard and to fetch public map and environmental data for that spot. To do that, your location is sent to these third-party services, each only to retrieve data:

We don't store your location on our own servers — these are direct requests from your device to those services, which have their own privacy practices.

Purchases. If you buy the Premium unlock, the transaction is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which manages your purchase/entitlement status. RevenueCat receives purchase data tied to an anonymous app-user identifier, not your name. We never see your card details.

Yard data. The yard you create is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, upload, or have access to it. (If we add optional cloud backup/sync in the future, it will be opt-in, disclosed here first, and clearly described before you turn it on.)

Diagnostics. Standard Apple-provided crash/usage reports may be available to us through the App Store if you opt into sharing them with developers in iOS settings. We do not currently use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

What we DON'T do

Children

Ufloria is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

Third-party services

The services named above (OpenStreetMap, USGS, Mapbox, USDA, Open-Meteo, phzmapi, Apple, RevenueCat) process the data described, each under its own privacy policy.

Changes

We'll update this policy as the app evolves and post the new effective date here. Material changes (e.g. adding accounts/sync or analytics) will be called out.
